A “Buyer’s Premium” of 6% will be added to the winning bid price of all lots in this auction.

GST (15%) will be added to the bid price (including buyers premium) for all lots in this auction.

For example, if the successful bid price is $1,000 + 6% Buyers Premium (being $60) + 15% GST (being ($159) the invoice will total $1,219

Please take care when making a bid as once your bid is placed, it cannot be altered or withdrawn.

Buyers are responsible for arranging their own transport, labour, tools or any other equipment they may require for collection.

By partaking in this online auction you agree that should any damage be caused by you and or your representatives during the removal process, to either the building, surrounding vehicles and or surrounding equipment, that you shall be held personally liable, and agree to pay all make good costs.

Please take into full consideration any defects noted in the lots description (e.g. Cosmetic scratches, whether the item is tested ok or faulty) and the condition of the item (New, Resealed, Exlease etc) before placing your bid. Please consider the above information prior to purchase.

The vendor of these goods are selling them in trade as a supplier (within the meaning of the consumer guarantees act 1993)


It is the Successful Buyers responsibility to arrange Packaging and Transport for their Purchases.

All equipment is located at North Canterbury

Your goods will be available for collections on Wednesday 18th and Thursday 19th of October 2017 between 9am and 3pm with no exceptions. Please note that there is no heavy lifting equipment available on site and it is the buyer's responsibility to arrange the necessary equipment to lift heavy items.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please make sure to collect your items within the given times, as GraysOnline will no longer have access to the yard after Thursday 19th of October.

Any items remaining uncollected after the nominated collection times will be deemed abandoned and/or may incur a late collection fee of $25 per day and/or removal fee.


Inspection of the assets is highly recommended.

Bids on assets in this sale should be made based on your inspection and assessment of the goods.

Your credit card will be debited on the day of the auction closing. To assist in the processing of payments please have funds available.

Invoice totals exceeding $5000 will not be split and must be paid in full by direct deposit. Direct Deposit needs to be made within 2 working days of sale closure. Successful bidders will be contacted via email with our bank account details.

GraysOnline advises all buyers that all plant offered for sale at auction may not be fit for use in a workplace. It is the buyers/owners responsibility to ensure that an operational risk assessment is undertaken, prior to use, and the plant be brought to a condition which complies with relevant Legislation, Regulations and applicable Codes of Practice.

GraysOnline will provide:

  • Clear identification and marking to identify that the plant item is only suitable for scrap or spare parts
  • Clear identification of the plant items that are likely to have been used in an asbestos environment. These items be treated as contaminated, and all appropriate safety measures must be followed during handling and decontamination.
  • Site Access, PPE and Removal of Plant requirements are listed under the Inspection and Collection Headings.

Please note:

  • Persons under the age of 15 years will not be permitted onsite.
  • Tradespeople eg; electricians, plumbers etc will be required to produce the relevant licence before commencing work on site.
  • Riggers, Forklift and Crane Drivers etc will be required to produce the relevant license before commencing work on site.
  • It is a condition of entry to site that all visitors comply with any directions given by Grays Auctions Ltd staff or their representatives.
  • Work carried out on this site must be completed in a manner compliant with all Occupational Health & Safety legislation.
  • All power tools and equipment used on site must be tested (tagged) safe for use in accordance with AS/NZS3760:2010 service testing and inspection of electrical equipment.
  • Grays Auctions Ltd will specify, based on the hazards present on the site, the mandatory personal protective equipment required to be worn prior to approval being given for entry to the site. (eg; safety footwear, safety eyewear, hard hats etc)
  • Contractors must be able to produce a current liability certificate upon request
  • The use of certified equipment, harnesses, work platforms etc will be required for any work carried out above 1.8metres.

Enclosed footwear must be worn onsite - Safety boots may be required at industrial sites
