Product Condition Types
The condition type
(see below) of each product is stated on its Product Information page.
We want all our customers to be totally satisfied with the products they
have won at online auctions at GraysOnline. The Product Information page therefore provides detailed
information about each product to help you make an informed decision
about whether or not you wish to bid on it in our online auctions.
The conditions of our products are classified as follows:
New
These
products are new and unused. They are in their original packaging
complete with manuals and other accessories. In the case of some
computer products such as Hard Drives, they may be packaged in a
plain outer carton (OEM box). OEM stands for Original Equipment
Manufacturer, and is a term used when a product was manufactured
as part of a larger whole.
Demo
Manufacturers or distributors will frequently put products out for display,
demonstration and evaluation purposes. These products usually see very little,
if any, use. The product had not been sold by the manufacturer or
distributor to anyone else before GraysOnline acquired it to sell in our
auctions. These products have undergone testing to ensure they function
according to the manufacturer's specifications. Please note, however,
that some individual products may show signs of wear, and those
products are purchased in the auction subject to those signs of
wear.
Resealed
The
product either:
a) may have been removed from its packaging by the manufacturer
for testing or other purposes; or
b) may have been opened and returned by a customer with little or
no use.
In either case, some accessories may vary from standard (e.g software, manuals etc).
Product in most cases is in the original carton.
Reconditioned
Products listed as 'Reconditioned' have typically been used by a consumer for a limited period but then have been tested and repaired where necessary (unless otherwise specified) so that they function according to the manufacturer's specifications. Some items that may vary from this standard and any variances are specified in the product description. Please note some individual items may show signs of wear, such as scratches and marks common with used items. In some instances accessories may vary from the standard (for example, software or manuals may be missing or different, no original packaging).
Used
The product has been used and has not been subsequently tested by the
manufacturer or the distributor to ensure that everything works, and it
is not guaranteed to meet the original manufacturer specifications.
Some individual products may show signs of wear or minor damage and these
products are purchased in the auction subject to an "as is"
basis.
Ex Lease
These are products that are ex lease / rental and have been returned to the lease
company / financial institution. They have subsequently been tested for visual and
functional defects.
Note that these products are used and do not have original packaging. They may show
signs of wear including marking and surface scratching.

Insurance Claim
These products have been subject to an insurance claim and may contain shop soiling, packaging,
physical and or other types of damage which may be unknown to us. Please refer to the auction
overview or the items description for further information regarding it’s condition.
NOTE:
All products are limited to supply on hand. We make no guarantee
of continued availability. The active nature of auctions makes it
impossible for us to guarantee that we will be able to replace or
exchange products that are found to be defective on delivery.
