The Village Botanist Pinot Noir 2013 (6 x 750mL) Eden Valley SA

Description:

Winemaker: Vanessa Altmann from Switch Organic Wine - the finalist in Young Gun of Wine 2017

Sourced from Eden Valley in South Australia this wine shows bright fruit characters of cherry and spice, complexed by ageing in French oak. Hand-picked late during March 2013 the fruit used to make this Pinot Noir was organically grown, bunches were de-stemmed and crushed to allow flavour, tannin and colour building. On the bolder side of Pinot Noir style this wine shows intensity of flavour and structure.

Winery Profile

Brand Profile Image

The meeting of variety, season and maker. The Village Botanist range of wines are a celebration of the pull to make artisan wine.

Chardonnay, Pinot and Shiraz are amongst those that we love to create. Each year it begins as we wander down rows and think about what might be. With fresh dew settled on berries a few months have passed, then colour on bunches and excitement, before we know it harvest is here.Buckets at the ready, thrown towards friends with long picnic lunches among the vines, then back to the winery for the thrill of the plunge.

We seek organically grown parcels and work with our growers and friends who understand that outstanding wines come not only from great vineyards, but from people who love what they do.
